The purpose of Atelier Juran is to create a material world that offers silence, evokes a sense of beauty and seamlessly connects the apparent material and spiritual aspects of human existence into a harmonious whole.
We create architectural spaces that transcend physical needs and personal desires. Material things are not just functional objects but tools that inspire. In line with this philosophy, Atelier Juran offers the creation of the “total work of art” – architecture on both larger and smaller scales, interior design, and consulting.
Tadej Jurán grew up in a family with a long-standing tradition of carpentry. He studied in Ljubljana and the Netherlands. With a six-month retreat in a secluded forest house and its renovation, he laid the foundation for his master’s thesis, for which he received the Plečnik Student Award. In 2017, he founded the Atelier Juran. As an external collaborator and project coordinator, he has previously been involved in large-scale projects (expansion of the passenger terminal at Jože Pučnik Ljubljana Airport, Residential block Tyrševa 2 in Maribor, etc.). With the company Lushna, he is a co-author of the architecture and development of several natural resorts in Europe and the USA. Among other awards and recognitions, he has received the Slovenian Design Award and the prestigious international Red Dot Design Award.
